Railway Tatkal Charges to be reduced from 1st october 2009

As announced by Hon’ble Minister for Railways in the Railway Budget 2009-10, the Tatkal charges for reservations have been reduced with effect from 1st October, 2009.   The revised Tatkal charges which will be levied uniformly both in peak and non-periods,  have been fixed as a percentage of fare at the rate of 10% of basic fare for Second Class and 30% of basic fare for all other classes subject to minimum and maximum as given in the table below :   Class of Travel Minimum Tatkal charges (Rs.)
